State Surgeon General Dr. John Armstrong reappointed three members and approved four new members to the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Foundation Board of Directors in September 2014. The board has nine members with two positions vacant as of January 2015.
Reappointed to two year terms were Dave Bowen, CEO, Automated Health Care Solutions, Miramar, Mike Ayotte, Vice President Legislative Affairs, CVS/Caremark, Midlothian, VA, and Karen Bailey, consumer advocate and realtor, Ocala, FL. Also, remaining on the board is Dr. Jill Rosenthal, Medical Director, Zenith Insurance, Boca Raton, term expires in July 2015.
New members appointed by Dr. Armstrong to two year terms included Dr. Lee Ann Brown, osteopathic physician, Clearwater, Dr. Daniel Gesek, oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Jacksonville, Greg Nazareth, Director of Health and Wellness, Walmart, Doral, Sally West, Regional Director of Government Affairs, Walgreens, Tallahassee and Paul Melton, CEO, Zoe Scripts Lab Service, Palm Harbor.
At its October 2014 meeting in Orlando, the board elected the following members as officers: Bowen, Chair, Ayotte, Vice Chair, Bailey, Secretary and Nazareth, Treasurer.
